![]() son of John Milton Harper and Ausabell (Belle) Harper was born on 2 Sep 1857 in Smith Co., Texas and died on 2 Feb 1932, at age 74, and was buried in Montague County, Texas. They had the following children: i. "Little Early" HARPER , died in infancy ii. Mandy Bell HARPER , died as a toddler iii. Ida Lura HARPER (born in 1892 Montague Co., TX - died in 1918 in Long Branch Community, Montague Co. Texas) iv. Clide Mae HARPER (bor n 24 May v. Clifford Love HARPER (born on 26 Apr 1897 - died on 24 Nov 1973 , buried in Lakeview Cemetery, Marietta, OK) vi. Mary Jewel HARPER(born on 12 Sep1903 - died on 22 Feb 1996 in Oswalt Cemetery) vii. Pearl Omenda HARPER(born on 9 Aug 1905 - died on 22 Aug 1993) viii. Dovie Gladys HARPER (born on 16 Nov 1907) Most of the pictures on this page were given to me by Sue Beach, Pearl's grand-daughter, whom I met online. The two Butler photos were given by Peggy Brock, our half cousin. The photo of Mary Ann and Jack, cir 1903, was given to me years ago by my grandfather, Lura's husband. It was my only photo of G-Grandma. Since my grandma died when my dad was five, I always called Mary Ann Grandma, like Daddy. |

My parents divorced in 1950, they never told me that she
had died and when I asked about her, they changed the subject. I was
about 10. When I reached my teens, they told me. I have always missed
her. Children feel much more than their parents sometimes give them credit for. |
